Happy Friday guys šŸ¤˜šŸ» today’s review is a Black Honey processed from El Salvador which was Roasted by @keen_coffee from šŸ‡³šŸ‡± and was one of the coffees featured in our @brewboxcoffee_ October šŸ“¦šŸ™ŒšŸ».

Los Pirineos is a unique farm and Gilberto Baraona is a unique producer. His strategy is to experiment with different cultivars, and assess which ones work best on each part of his farm (as the altitudes range broadly across Los Pirineos).

THE COFFEE:

Farm: Los Pirineos

Origin: El Salvador

Varietal: Pacamara

Process: Black Honey

Roast: Filter.

Altitude: 1500m

TASTE NOTES:

It took me a few times to get this right but when I did šŸ˜ The coffee was extremely Complex while it was hot with a sweetness that develops when it cools, once at room temperature it starts to open up and gets Very Juicy, Sweet with a Sticky Mouthful. The Sweetness and Juiciness reminded me of a very ripe Pineapple. A full body with Great Acidity and taste notes of Limes and Vanilla Cream and a aftertaste of Brown Sugar.

THE SCORE

šŸŽ–šŸŽ–šŸŽ–šŸŽ–šŸŽ–šŸŽ–šŸŽ–šŸŽ–šŸŽ– 9/10
