Vienna is without a doubt, one of the most beautiful capitals we’ve ever visited in Europe. A city that is rich in history and culture that has greatly defined the modern-day coffee scene. Vienna also has its fair share of specialty coffee roasters and third-wave coffee bars but for us @jonasreindlcoffeeroasters are at the top of the list and are elevating the coffee experience for Viennese Community.

The Ngutu factory is operated by the Raikamba Farmers Cooperative Society (F.C.S.), which owns seven factories in the area, on the Aberdare Mountains to the south of Mt. Kenya. Farmers in this area started to plant coffee in the early 1950s, and the co-op currently has 4,000 member farmers, about 1,200 of whom deliver to the Ngutu factory. The F.C.S. is managed by an elected body of seven committee members and overseen by a secretary manager; there are 28 permanent staff at the factory. The average farmer raises just 200 coffee trees on farms that are between 1/2–1 acre (or 0.2–0.4 hectare).

Farmer members deliver their cherry to the factory the day it's harvested, and it is sorted at the mill before being depulped. The factory uses fresh river water in its processing, and the coffee is dried under direct sun after fermenting and washing is complete. After drying, the parchment coffee is delivered to Central Kenya Coffee Mills.

The coffee has a Full body with a smooth Caramel mouthfeel 🤤 It was very (and I mean very) frickin juicy with tons of Fruity Flavours, of which the most dominant was Blackcurrant, followed by a slight Strawberry Taste.

As the cup cooled to room temperature that Caramel mouthfeel that was present when hot, has now turned more Jammy/Winey. Beautifully balanced with a low citrus like acidity (Think Oranges). Those Blackcurrant notes stay Dominate right through to the end, it was like drinking a glass of Fruity Ribena Juice 😍 T H E S C O R E 🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖 10/10
