Today see’s our 40th Coffee review from the 14th Roaster, since launching in February 2019 😳 and it’s another Colombian! 😁. All these Colombian coffees have been unreal this year and today’s is no exception 😬. This Coffee comes from @black.svk in Slovakia, A small Roaster who have two cafes in the city of Bratislava. We were lucky enough to visit their main cafe and have a chat with the Head Roaster - Jakub, Who also helped us pick out this beauty for our GET IT BREWED series 🤘🏻

This coffee was chosen as a special edition and comes from the Urrao region of Antioquia. A tiny argricultural area that is not known for growing coffee. In any case, a few small farmers like Herlindo Sepulvera took the chance and took advantage of the almost perfect conditions for the cultivation of vintage coffee, due to their high altitude and excellent soil condition. The Caturra Chiroso variety is unique mainly because it is hard to see outside the region.

T H E C O F F E E:

Farm: finca buena vista, antioquia. Origin: Colombia. Variety: caturra chiroso. Process: Full Washed/ 36Hr Fermentation. Roast: Filter TASTE NOTES:

Now I’ve been brewing this coffee for the last week or so and it’s just 🙌🏻 It had a delicate aroma of Oranges on the nose. On my first sip I immediately thought of the Roasters taste notes of Bubblegum, Cola and Orange Blossom and although I didn’t really get the Cola, that Bubblegum was right there and with the Body/Mouthfeel being almost creamy like, it had me thinking I was drinking Bubblegum Ice Cream (Yes you read that right🍦😍). The aroma of Oranges actually comes into the cup at the end of each sip and is the best way describe the Acidity. Those orange notes stay right through to the Finish, giving it an Ice Cream Sundae taste 👌🏻. . This is definitely the year of the Colombian for me as near enough every coffee I’ve had has just blown me away and this is no exception OUTSTANDING BLACK OUTSTANDING 🙏🏻👌🏻 T H E S C O R E:
