Today is very exciting šŸ˜† we’ve been sent 2 very interesting Colombian Coffees from the guys over at @roundhillroastery (Massive shout out to Nay šŸ™šŸ»for hooking us up) If you don’t know who Round Hill Roastery are 😳 where have you been! The Tarqui Cup is hosted by Nordic Approach and Fairfield Trading. The competition is a fantastic way for small producers to connect with roasters from all over the world. El Paradiso placed 6th with an average score of 86.98 points. After picking the cherry, it is left for 12 hours before de-pulping, then it dry ferments for another 32 hours before washing 3 times. ā¬‡ļøT H E - C O F F E Eā¬‡ļø Farm: El Paradis Origin: Colombia šŸ‡ØšŸ‡“. Variety: Caturra & Colombia. Process: Tula Fermented & Washed Roast Level: Light - Medium . Opening the bag • light Aromas of vanilla, with a very fresh citrus smell. Taste Notes • A very clean medium body with a Sticky mouthfeel. There’s a dominating flavour of Blackcurrants both on the nose and taste 😬. Acidity was very low and reminded me of red apples, The finish was super interesting and tasted like Black Cherry Liquor šŸ™ŒšŸ». An amazingly sweet and sticky Coffee that has Blackcurrants written all over it. This Colombian is one of the nicest coffees I’ve had from this origin šŸ˜† (and it only came 6th 😳) it’s even nicer than the Carmen Aragón from Reykjavik Roasters and that was amazing 🤭 šŸ¤”T H E - S C O R EšŸ¤” šŸŽ–šŸŽ–šŸŽ–šŸŽ–šŸŽ–šŸŽ–šŸŽ–šŸŽ–šŸŽ–šŸŽ– 10/10
