Today is the last of our samples from the Guys at @baobabroastworks It’s a Semi Washed Brazilian from the Espirito Santo region, which is not only the name of an appellation, it’s also the name of one of the smallest Brazilian states. They’re a traditional producer of Robusta Coffees, in low altitude areas (600-700 m), the quality and diversity of the state’s Arabicas, produced in mountainous areas at an altitude of more than 1,000 metres, have surprised Luigi and Alex in the recent years. This coffee is named IPE in reference to the Brazilian Handroanthus tree, more commonly called (ipê) in Latin America. It is a tree that can bear flowers of five different colours.
⬇️T H E - C O F F E E⬇️ Farm: Small producers from the Espirito Santo Region Origin: Brazil Variety: Specialty Arabica Process: Semi Washed Roast Level: Light - Medium . Opening the Bag • Milk Chocolate with a slight hint of Tobacco Taste Notes • Smooth Cup with a very light Flavour profile, first there’s a Chocolate note, quite a common taste note amongst Brazilian coffees and an almost toasted coconut taste after that. I also noticed a very subtle Spiciness that just danced on your tongue 😛. A beautifully balanced cup with no dominating flavours. The cup finishes with a lightly acidic Black Tea after taste 👏🏻 . 🤔T H E - S C O R E🤔 🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖🎖 8/10
