Established in 2013. Cloud Picker was Borne from passion, curiosity and the quest to create a unique coffee product for the Irish market. The name Cloud Picker came from their trip to Northern Thailand where Frank & Peter visited a coffee farm in the Doi Chang area on the Thai / Burma border, where they went up through the clouds to see the coffee pickers! šš» Todayās coffee is this cracker from Kenya š°šŖ. Fully washed, using methods typical of a high quality Kenyan factory: the cherries are pulped and fermented under cover for up to 24 hours, washed in channels, then soaked for a further 16 hours before being dried on raised beds. During processing, the coffee is sorted multiple times. The seeds are then graded by density during pulping and washing, and unripes and defects are then removed by hand šÆ.
T H E - C O F F E E Farm: Karimikui AA. Origin: Kenya š°šŖ. Variety: SL-28, SL-34. Process: Washed. Roast Level: Light - Medium . Opening the bag ⢠Medium Intensity, Sweet Berries, Green tea. Taste Notes ⢠A very smooth cup that had a very distinctive Blackcurrant sweetness, An almost Raspberry like bitterness that made this cup really exciting to drink. Two completely random notes that I noticed was a slight Dark Chocolate and Mint which lingered in around the back, just sitting there not dominate just there šš» The aftertaste literally sent me straight back to Thailand š¹š Notes of Bael Tea, a very sweet tea aftertaste which made this cup probably one of the nicest Iāve had this year! šš» T H E - S C O R E ššššššššš 10/10
